Is emotional eating bad

So, is emotional eating not all that bad?

To be honest, it is not necessarily a vice or something of the fiendish realm. Rather, it is just as it is – plainly normal. Almost mundane, if it were not so that food is simply delicious at times.

There will be plenty of time and space to discuss the various mechanisms that underlie emotional eating, however, this is not the time nor place. Not even the mere definition (or rather, definitions) are suitable for instruction here  and currently.

This post is all about one thing, and it is – accepting.

Here are two visualizations of this particular situation.

Ahh, Friends, such a classic. I wonder if your TV provider is also rerunning them as if it was a casual screensaver from the late 90's

Happy Holidays, ya’ll

How do you feel about these 2 similes? These two visualizations? Can you identify with the notion? What emotions are being felt right now, in your body, and where?

You don’t need to answer here or to me – just to your own self.

Take your time.

Breath it in and out.

The purpose of this post is simple – normalizing. It is heartbreaking to think that so many people derail themselves thinking that it is a pathology, or even a problematic issue – because it isn’t necessarily so. The thing is – the portion, the dosage, and what part it partakes in life.

Emotional eating is something we all have in common, to some degree or another.
Whether it’s a family dinner, or a holiday meal,
Or Ice cream when you’re down, or even up.
We digest (yeap) bad news with it,
We celebrate life and its happenings with it.
It is okay, it is normal.
It is only about the dosage of it.

Welcome to our mutual journey.
